Community Members Join Forces with Area Dealership, Chrysler LLC and KaBOOM! to Build New Child-Designed Playground in One Day
Kearns, Utah -
What: Local community members to team up with Ken Garff West Valley Chrysler Jeep® Dodge Dealership; The Chrysler Foundation; Chrysler Financial; and KaBOOM! to build new playground at the Kearns National Pony League's field site.
When: Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008
8:30 a.m. MDT - Kick off and volunteer deployment
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. MDT - Best time to view playground under construction
2:30 p.m. MDT - Ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate new play area

Why: The new playground will provide hundreds of children who frequent the Kearns National Pony League baseball field with a great place to play. The new playground's design is based on drawings provided by children who attended a Design Day event in August 2008.
The playspace will be the 12th of 25 scheduled to be built this year by KaBOOM!; The Chrysler Foundation; Chrysler Financial and Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealerships across the country to provide more than 70,000 children with a great place to play. The playspace is also one of more than 220 builds KaBOOM! will lead across the country in 2008, in an effort to provide an enjoyable place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
