Chrysler Financial Restructures its Business Operations
In light of declining vehicle sales, tight capital markets and the decision to shift Chrysler Group LLC subvented retail business to GMAC, Chrysler Financial announced today it will restructure its business operations to align operating expenses with current revenue expectations. The impact of the realignments will have the effect of reducing the Company’s total workforce by about nine percent.

CONSUMER ALERT: Chrysler Financial Issues Warning to Consumers Receiving Fraudulent Checks
Thought you won the lottery? Think again. Consumers across the United States have received fraudulent letters from the so-called Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission in Canada claiming they won $170,000. The letters also contain counterfeit checks allegedly issued by “DaimlerChrysler Financial Services” and “Chrysler Financial” in various amounts.

Chrysler Financial Receives Access to $1.5 Billion in Loans from the U.S. Department of Treasury
Chrysler Financial today announced it has received access for up to $1.5 billion in loans from the U.S. Department of Treasury's Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). The funds, which became available under the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, will provide the necessary liquidity to support Chrysler Financial's retail finance program.

Chrysler Financial Canada announced today it will restructure its operations to reduce costs and maximize efficiencies. Through this restructuring, the company will consolidate its current business operations in Calgary, Montreal and Windsor into its Toronto facility by May 1, 2009.

The hundreds of children who frequent the Josefiak Playlot in Detroit every day are getting a new place to play. In less than eight hours on build day, more than 200 volunteers from The Chrysler Foundation; Chrysler Financial; the Motor City Dodge Dealers; the Chrysler Jeep® Superstores; the Detroit Community Initiative; organizers from KaBOOM! and residents of the Northeast Village will assemble a new playground in the park.
