The Washington Informer and The (Memphis) Tri-State Defender have been named winners of the 2008 Chrysler Financial/NNPA Foundation Entrepreneurial Award-a unique award that recognizes the nation's black-owned newspapers for their entrepreneurial accomplishments and commitment to community service. The Entrepreneurial Award seeks to encourage members of the Black Press of America to look beyond traditional streams of revenue, such as advertising, and to develop creative ways to thrive in today's competitive media industry.

Chrysler Financial hosted Gail Perry-Mason as the keynote speaker during the annual Black History Month celebrations on Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Chrysler Financial Headquarters. In conjunction with the Chrysler Financial African-American Network (CFAAN), one of three employee resource groups, the Company sponsored a month-long series of events to celebrate black history, including an employee seminar on personal financial information and historical displays.

Chrysler Financial hosted its fifth annual Finance and Insurance (F&I) Conference February 11-15. The conference titled "Educate and Accelerate" is a knowledge-based business conference designed to showcase tools, tips, processes and ideas for practical use in the finance and insurance departments of Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge dealerships.

As part of the 2008 Chrysler Financial Orlando Business Meeting, employees from field sales locations and customer contact centers will donate more than 1,000 hours of community service with Hands On Orlando today. Employees will come together to create a park, paint murals, landscape, install rocking chairs and other park equipment which will ultimately help prepare apartments for occupancy at the Helping Others Make the Effort, Inc. (HOME) campus.
